'Food from the Ocean' at the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival

We are pleased to send details of the Food from the Oceans programme at the Norwegian Church on Friday 14th July & Saturday 15th July; part of the Food Festival taking place across Cardiff Bay

The programme has been organised by Cardiff University together with Bergen University and Hordaland Fylkeskommune, so there's a strong Norwegian flavour to the offering!

Most importantly, there will be a free reception from 3pm - 4pm on both days, with a Welsh tea being served. The Royal Norwegian Embassy are kindly funding these receptions to mark the 25th anniversary of the Norwegian Church.

Members of the Welsh Norwegian Society and friends will be given priority for the two receptions, so if you would like to attend, please let us know by Wednesday 12th July.

The reception on Friday will feature Angharad Rees, a Welsh harpist; the reception on Saturday will feature Stian Vedoy, a young Norwegian musician based in Bristol, who studied music production in Cardiff.

There will also be a Norwegian food stall in the Farmers Market on Harbour Drive, next to the Norwegian Church, with free samples of Food from the Oceans (seaweed etc).

Of course, the rest of the Food Festival is well worth a visit too! ... it spills out from Roald Dahls Plass.
